Life Is About Creating Yourself – Part 2

By Ann: Creating yourself can be challenging, especially when you don’t know where to begin.

The key is to identify what’s most important for you to work on—and focus on one thing at a time.

We often hear that women can multitask, while men tend to focus on one thing at a time. Think about how many times you’ve felt unloved or uncared for because your partner didn’t express it the way you needed. Yet, what we sometimes forget is that he may be showing love through his actions—working hard every day to provide for his family and create a comfortable life.

When he comes home, he needs time to unwind before he can give his full attention to you and the relationship. But because of our expectations and mindsets, we can become negative when our emotional needs aren’t met. Remember, your partner isn’t a mind reader. He might truly believe he’s doing a great job simply by working hard and supporting the family.

Of course, this applies to both men and women. So how can you create harmony in your relationship and home life? Let me be clear—there’s no such thing as perfect harmony. Relationships require ongoing effort, 24 hours a day.
Many couples grow complacent. They stop investing energy into their relationship and gradually drift apart—eventually leading to separation or divorce. The key to preventing this is to create an action plan together.

Spend quality time together. Share activities. Be affectionate—hug, kiss, and express appreciation. Tell your partner how wonderful they are. Without these small acts of love and attention, the relationship loses substance. You become like housemates instead of partners, and that emotional distance can spiral into unhappiness.

Even the most “perfect” couples face challenges. Take Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban—or her earlier marriage with Tom Cruise. They appeared to have it all, yet they still grew apart. Why? Because they didn’t spend enough time together. There was no shared plan, no consistent togetherness. It’s sad to see something so strong fade away—but it doesn’t have to happen to you.

You can take charge of your relationship, your career, and your happiness by creating a clear plan for your life. Without vision, you have nothing. Without a positive mindset, you attract only misery. Life is shaped by the choices you make—so why not start now?

Write down your goals. Focus on one area at a time. You’ll start seeing real results within weeks. But if you do nothing, you’ll continue feeling lost and without purpose. Don’t wait for crisis—illness, heartbreak, or financial loss—to force you into change. You are in control of your mind, not the other way around.

The body cannot thrive without the mind. Understand yourself, release negative thoughts, and consciously create the person you wish to become and the life you wish to live.

A spiritual teacher once told me, “The truth is always bitter, but it is always better.” Living your truth and being content with your own creation is the path to peace.

After all, God created us in His image. If He could create the world in seven days, imagine what you can create when you begin shaping your own life.

Love and Light,

Ann
